Trauma Responsive Monadnock

Grant Funding Provided By: New Hampshire Children’s Health Foundation

The New Hampshire Children’s Health Foundation is organized and operates exclusively for charitable purposes. They are a leading funder of child health in New Hampshire, having awarded $883,000 in grants and strategic investments in 2022, benefitting 23 health-related initiatives and projects at nonprofit and community organizations across the state.

The mission of the New Hampshire Children’s Foundation is to improve the health and well-being of all New Hampshire children.

The Trauma Responsive Monadnock team was initially organized to address the issue of childhood trauma and the ACEs and how to be proactive about mitigation and prevention in the Monadnock community. As our initiative grew and more individuals joined the organization from around the Monadnock region, word of our activity came to NHCHF and a three-year grant in the amount of $38,000 was awarded to support our efforts. This 2022 grant funding allowed us to hire a Community Outreach coordinator and launch a needs assessment throughout the community.
